Hi guys

Does anyone know a company in Dubai that could arrange for my car to be shipped to the UK? I've looked on the internet but couldn't come up with anything.

Also, recommendations are always better!

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,

Don't know of any companies that do it but a mate sent his car back a few years ago and it was nothing but trouble at the other end.

I believe it was a Chrysler Voyager and he had to spend more money having it converted to meet UK specs than the car was worth.

Had to change the ECU and other parts of the electrics for emmisions, the full dials pack as the speedo was KM only, front and rear lights - and he found out when it went for the MOT/emissions that it didn't have a CAT and he had to have all the gubbins installed.

Not sure what car you want to send back but it highlighted that there were quite a few differences from Gulf to UK spec.

Hope yours is a much easier process.

Cheers - that's the sort of thing I'm worried about.

The car will be a Merc W124 500E... more research required I think!
