Pool costs

Does anyone have a rough idea of how much it would costs to run a private pool in Dubai. One agent has told us that it could be as much as AED10k a month for additional water and leccy bills. Sounds a bit nuch eh? Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this.

We looked into this and it was around 3k upwards depending on size.

We just got a big 3br villa in Mirdif with a shared pool and gym, but only 6 houses in total in the compound. The cost of the pool, gym etc all included.

First week on the ground and matters are progressing quite quickly.

We are just moving to a villa in Barsha with a pool, our investigations have led us to believe that a pool company sending a man to do all the cleaning and chemicals is around 300aed per month and the pumps etc are not much at all to run. Our DEWA bills without a pool are about 3k per month anyway so a pump will be small potatoes!

I cant believe that running a pool is anywhere near 3000aed, if thats what running our current villa costs!!

It will also depend if you have water chilling in the Summer and heating in the Winter, ours is just an ambient temp pool so we won't have this cost.
