Dubai - cheap/good hotel

I need to book a hotel for a weekend (1 or 2 nights) in Dubai at the end of Jan when my OH comes to visit (as I can't be arsed to drive back and forth from AUH all the time).

It would be good to have somewhere with a beach, or easy access to one.

Any suggestions for cheap (but decentish) places?

What sort of budget are we talking, and what kinda facilites?
I've got a spare room with your name on it, if needed, 5 mins from the beach.

Well wasn't looking for much. Was going to come up the the last weekend in Jan (Friday night) and show the OH around - and then some drinks in the evening, without worrying about having to drive back to Abu Dhabi!

Ibis WTC are doing a room for 280Dhs, although your offer is very kind!

Of all the hotels I can think of, 280 a night is blinding!
Give it some thought anyway. The room is there if you need it.
