Are you buying cash or finance?
IIRC - if it's on finance it has to be valued at the local dealer and the finance will only pay out on that - if they value it lower and he still wants more, you'll have to stump up the extra cash.
I think...

Offered 75 and was told (nicely) that he had an offer of 79. So I suggested he go with that and to let me know if the deal falls through.....I'm suspecting I'll be getting a call in a day or so!
You need to find out if he has outstanding finance - if he does he will need to pay this off to get a Mortgage Release letter from his bank as otherwise the transfer will be blocked. Can be a pain in the arse if you end up having to go to his bank with him but it avoids the UK hpi issue.
Then, take your insurance certificate (though there is a broker on site), UAE licence, UK licence (card and paper), and copies of your passport and visa to one of the Tasjeel transfer places. You might not need all of those things but no doubt the one you don't take will be the one they want on that day so belt and braces!
I use the one next to the Gold and Diamond park as you can pay 100dhs for priority service and they do the running around for you. The seller puts the car through the test lane, pays any outstanding fines and then signs the car over to you. He will surrender his licence card and they will give you a new one.
It's pretty painless really, takes maybe 30/45 mins. Good luck, and well done on the new motor!
