I see it's cancelled on the Wiki - what happened?

I wondered this, and the official response from Yas Marina's press dude is this:
"We’re reorganizing our event schedule in order to commission some of our year round facilities on the circuit – chiefly the Drag Centre (YMC Raceway) and the Driving Academy. As a result, we’ve postponed The Classic event to a date yet to be set. It will happen, but later. In Feb we have a GP2 event and, of course, the opening round of the Aussie V8 Supercars, both of which will be great weekends."

So there you have it.

That's a shame - will have to sort a meet there at some point, maybe when Drag/trackdays start.

Well I don't think you'll see the historics coming back anytime soon (whatever the "offical" excuses may be).

It seems that the Le Mans series race that was being lined up is also a victim.

The FIA calendar still has the april date for the GT1 series (but then it does also include the Yas historic meeting)...
