Not that I'd ever accuse the government of censorship, but... several weather websites were saying sun today and tomorrow.
Sun my arse, I've got a flood outside my Villa. Just handy I've got my '4x4 Off-road Extreme Edition' Honda Civic sedan that gets through anything - unlike the locals in full size SUVs that are scared of tiny puddles.

I'm selling the Wrangler so it's been parked up all clean and nice in the car port of late. Sun my arse, I've got a flood outside my Villa. Got the Boxster about half a mile this morning before I saw my first puddle deeper than my sills. Promptly returned home for a swap and after spending the afternoon riding rough shot through all the standing water I could find I'm currently thinking that a big SUV may be the way to go after all!
And Liverpool lost tonight which really pissed on my chips....
Took me 2.5hrs to get as far as the airport on the Sharjah Road on to find out the meeting had been cancelled - 2.5hrs home to find out at the power was out to all the plug sockets - dunno why the lights weren't affected.
The breaker had tripped and couldn't be reset until this morning - the joy of living in a relatively old National's villa in Barsha

Ah, but I bet none of you were give the only parking space on ground level, wich has the contours of a saucer. My Honda Civic is was parked in 4 inches of water, and I had to dive into the back, and climb though, simply to save my shoes from flooding. Gave the local schoolkids something to laugh about though....That was until I cracked my head on the door frame and shouted "c************nt" as loud as I could......
