Is Jordan a safe place to move your family to?
Discussion
I've not been. Indeed I cannot think of a good reason to go. But...
Safe? Yes. I'd think of it like much of Northern Africa (say Egypt, or Tunisia). Very different but pretty safe, and nice people. But what on Earth would his wife do, and how would their children get an education (as we see it)?

I am trying to convince her it's a bad idea.
Without the full facts? That's very closed minded Gring. Jordan is a great place... it's all down to how you assimilate into different cultures... are you there for the life experience or is one going to bh and moan about how it ain't England....
Is fine. Great country to visit (Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, etc) although a slightly different prospect to live in.
That said, a mate of mine lived there for about 3 years (most of that time down the British club, from what I could gather/on the basis of my visits to see him).
Is fairly limited in terms of nightlife, but some good bars and restaurants (just not that many of them).
Metal detectors, etc in front of all the hotels after the wedding bomings a few years ago but I have been there a dozen or so times since 2001 and never had any problems.
Wouldn't want to live there as a single chap but as a family (mate was with wife and 2 kids) would probably be fine and some great weekend trips too.

have you experienced puberty though?
you seem to have some childish viws of the country without actually ever having appeared to visit there
have you ever experienced humour? i doubt it very much. you seem to have some childish viws of the country without actually ever having appeared to visit there
i dont need to visit a dump to know i wouldnt want to live there either.
if you dont think my view is valid then perhaps you could go and live there for a while (a long one) and then come back and tell me if i was right or wrong, i would love to hear of your experiences there.
