I have a five day weekend, then a couple of hours working from home on Tues and Thurs and that's it. Wahey!
Brunch/Barristi/Biggles event to look forward to on Friday and then I'll wallow in my hangover by the pool for the rest of the weekend.
Luckily I also have meeting in Al Ain tomorrow lunchtime and from about 1pm will mostly be found leaving my colleague behind in his Cayman S as I show him how a real man drives up a mountain.
(note: all of the above is true, apart from the last bit - feeling a bit nervous actually as those barriers look mighty hard and have clearly claimed a scalp or two so may take it fairly steady!)

4 days for me
I was thinking of booking the wife and I into the Burj for 2 nights. Still can't decide whether to spend the cash or not! The rates are silly, but then you've got another 700 quid in taxes.
Just fancy a relax on a quaility beach, being waited on...any other places?
Cheers.

We went over to Fujairah last weekend and stayed in the Iberotel Miramar.
Drive was good, hotel excellent, food smashing and the pool there is brilliant for lounging around. The beach is so so but you get proper waves, unlike on this side of the peninsular, and the snorkelling was pretty good too.
Well worth a visit, and about 1000dhs per night for an 'exec room'.
Not quite the burj but I'd put it on your list. Also great to get out of Dubai for a while too.
p.s Just got back from Al Ain - man I love that mountain!

I'm off to India this evening for a week - visting the wife's folks in Bangalore & Bombay.
Looking forward to a trip to Srirangapattana (Seringapatam) where the British forces finally beat Tippu Sultan in 1799.
Probably not interesting unless you are a History buff or into the Sharpe books.
