Looking for a change of scenery and afte discussion with the o/h, we consider Dubai a plce we wouldn't mind spending some time away from the UK.

Any successful experience and/or contacts with recruitment agents in Dubai? Or does anyone know of anything up and coming???

Me: Major Construction/Rail experience (Proj Management, Cost management, Commercial Management)
Her: Legal background (though would consider a change)

Any help appreciated!

Abu Dhabi Metro and UAE heavy rail network are currently being planned and will provide a steady stream or work in the UAE for the next 5-10 years.

I'd look into who the construction contract for the AD metro goes to and get in there early with your CV.

You can drive from Dubai to AD daily, not a great journey but no worse than most UK commutes. It's also currently much cheaper to live in Dubai so it generally offsets any extra motoring costs.

Hitch - any news on that yet?

I'm considering moving back out of O&G.

Hi there,

I have my own business over here recruiting for the construction industry

Send your cv to me m.tomlin@nsrassociates, also check our website and apply for any roles suitable.

There are opps out here but very specific at the moment so it really depends on your experience.

Thanks

Hi Matt,

Anything out there for Bridge Engineers? Even elsewhere in the ME

Couldn't see anything on the website,

I was seconded to Dubai before I was made redundant.

Hi

If you are interested I may have an opportunity for a Bridge Engineer in next couple of months, based in Saudi Arabia. I may also need Traffic Engineer and Road Design Engineer if you know anybody looking for work.
Feel free to PM and I will provide further details.

(for her) there are all the major US/UK law firms over here but the market isn't what it was (google DLA redundancies).

As for construction, AUH seems to be more lively than DXB

Thanks for the information, will ask her to take a look.

YEs, I'm still looking at opps in AUH, the market just seems slow to react on these shores.
