Working in Dubai or Qatar

My wife is a manager with a large consulting company and may have an opportunity for a job in either Dubai or Qatar. What is working in these countries like, particularly from the point of view of a western female? Any ex-pats on here? Any views/advice would be welcome.

Dubai & Qatar are different places - bit like saying Spain or Germany!

Treatment of her (professionally) depends very much on the company - is it local, foreign, large or small?
