Have just landed in Qatar and have been looking for track day car to take round Losial. Cant believe the lack of cars here. I knew it would be mainly jap cars - but not a single supra, MR2, S2000, MX5 etc. Only cars for fun seem to be 350Z - very good but way out of my budget and M3s - again pricy and always autos.
Anyone know how to get some cheap RWD fun ?
Have looked at importing an old caterham lotus 7 copy but the rules crush that one - has to be road legal [so no old sinlge seaters] under 5 years old and left hand drive - even if its just for the trak
Have I been given duff info ?
Is there any decent cars near by ?

cheers
pete

When I looked into it, if it was imported as a racing car then it did not have to be road legal.

Can't remember where I found that infomation from.

It would be helpful if you could remember! I have a guy currently trying to buy my EVO VI track/race car and he is having trouble with importing to Qatar from the UAE as it is not regestered.
