Window tinting - annual inspections for re-registration

Does anyone know what happens if you buy a secondhand car that is already tinted beyond the maximum legal limit (30%) and assuming you are a male expat? I have heard that expat females can get through the Tajeel annual road test. Will they just fail the car or is a fine payable?

I've not go around to re-registering mine yet (dealer did it for me when i bought it) but as you have to take the vehicle to the Tasjeel etc and get it through the police check before it can be sold, I would think if it passed that then it would pass re-registration. Not an expert though.
