Guys - me again! Just wondered if there are any 'British B road' type places in the UAE. And I seem to remember there being some road that was built especially by a Sheikh which was hills and bends etc near Dubai. Anyone know?
Cheers,
J.
You've obviously changed your mind about buying that Mustang if you're looking for B road blasts J!Cheers,

Khorpakkan road is good too(sp?)
From Dubai just as you enter Shasjah take the first junction off right and keep going. There are some amazing long straights before going in to a quarry type of valley and its all twisty. Lovely drive and a lot closer than you might think. You can then head off to RAK or Al Ain

Just after the Hatta Fort Hotel heading towards Oman, take the left and head through the Kalba Pass. Watch out for bikers - this is popular twisties for them!
Jebel Hafeet is not worth it any more - since the F1 crashing buffoon MBS decided to set a 'benchmark' time up there in a GTR anyone with a set of wheels has been trying to match his time so the place is now crwling with the rozzers.
The road to Dibba is good Mustang territory; long sweepers rather than tight twisties.
Or, if you want real tight, we are having an Auto-X fun evening at the Jebel Ali Go-Kart track next Friday 15th. You can see how well you can heave it around there?

Hatta to Kalba road is awesome. Watch out for the burned out wreck though, assuming it's still there.Jebel Hafeet is not worth it any more - since the F1 crashing buffoon MBS decided to set a 'benchmark' time up there in a GTR anyone with a set of wheels has been trying to match his time so the place is now crwling with the rozzers.

If you have a fair bit of time to get there, there's an epic stretch from near the Liwa Hotel to the Morheeb Sand Dune. Amazing views and a cracking bit of tarmac, with next to no traffic. Hammond has just thrashed a Lambo down it (pic at top) http://www.automiddleeast.com/auto-news/top-gear-c...
I'm also told that one of the roads to Musandam is a cracker, but haven't tried it myself.
