Hi All - I think I'm going to go for a V8 'Stang when I do buy a car. Probably not a new one.

When it says Gulf Specs, I assume that it's one that's been imported by the official Ford dealers...as opposed to a US spec one which has been imported by a private buyer. Question is...which is best? Or is there much difference for a V8 GT one between the two specs?

Cheers,
J.

I have no idea, but there is a lovely GT/CS on dubizzle in a metallic cherry red with stripes and some tasteful mods. Please go and buy it now to stop me daydreaming about my residents visa magically arriving on Sunday so that I can snap it up myself!

In my opinion it is a thing of absolute beauty.

Thanks Hitch!!

I've managed to answer my own questions...

US Spec is as I said...and includes the V6 ones which aren't available officially here.

All the Gulf spec ones seem to come with most options ticked and are all the GT Premium models.

So there you are :-)

GCC spec cars also usually come with better cooling for both the motor and passengers!

I went for a wander around the automarket at Ras al Khor yesterday and given that I do not have the money to purchase some serious german or italian metal I decided that I am deffo getting a stang.

Chap at Al Tayer Ford thinks they'll have the new one in Q1 2010, and the chap at Nissan doesn't think they'll have the 370z until next summer because of the massive demand elsewhere.

Second hand GT/CS iy is then!

I have friends working in Al Tayer, let me know exactly what you want and what you want to pay and they should be able to find you the right car...

That would be great - do they hold decent levels in stock?
