Saudi Visa + any pointers?

Just had a nightmare getting visas for Saudi. Went in Jan, no problems. Same processes followed but seems systems have changed and nobody knows what the new system is.

Had to abandon trip this week - £2.5k flights up the swannie!!

Is there a trick we're missing or is this par for the course?

Sounds about right... they never know what they are doing in the Saudi Embasys

Found out that they changed the application system - all e-applications and the like - but appeared to forget to tell the consulates!!
