Hotels/Apartments in Dubai
Discussion
Hi,
I am looking for a Hotel/Apartment to stay in Dubai for 4 nights at the end of April. Need something in a central location but with a good night club etc. ( As I understand you can only drink in the hotel you are staying??? Or is this bks?).
I want something fairly cheapish as it will be mostly a place to sleep and I dont envisage we will be spending much time in the hotel rooms.
I've looked around on TravelAdvisor but none of them seem to have opinions on the clubs/bars etc. (BTW bars/clubs are not the major reason of going to Dubai obviously, but it would be nice if there is somewhere with a fairly lively nightlife)
Any ideas? preferably under £150 per night for 4 of us, hence I was thinking more about holiday apartments rather then hotel rooms.
Regards,

Ramada Hotel is central and close to various types of clubs dependent on what sort of nightlife you are looking for. Also not too far from the Dubai Marine Beach Club, where you have some great bars and restaraunts. Try the Thai!!
If you want a bit cheaper Imperial Suites.
If your out towards the Marina area its a long trip back into town.

Thanks for your help.
However it turns out my mate has a lot of Holiday Inn Loyalty points so we are now stuck between the Holiday Inn Al-Bursha on Sheik Zayed Road or the Holiday Inn Downtown in Deira (Al Rigga St).
Which would be best for Shopping, sightseeing, wild wadi water park. And also might throw in some sand ski-ing and go-karting if possible.
I'm torn as the Al-Bursha is closer to the Beach, however the Downtown is closer to central Dubai and it seems there will be more things to do around there.
Any Help?

Depends what you're looking for from your trip to Dubai. Diera's the old Dubai - with bustling streets of Indian traders. Whereas Al Barsha is no mans land, but close to the Mall of the Emirates (where the ski slope is), and closer to "new Dubai", which in reality is where I suspect you'll spend most of your time.
Whilst I've not been to either - from the outside, I suspect the Diera Holiday Inn is newer, and looks nicer as you drive past than the Al Barsha one. However, I personally, I'd go Al Barsha, based on location.
And you can drink in any of the hotel bars. Not just the one you're staying in. I think you need more info to plan your trip. Not sure which web site to point you towards, but I'd recomend doing a bit of research to make the most of your time here.
