Hi All

I have recently received an offer (still negotiating) for a role in Dubai, from my own research the most important element is getting the housing allowance agreed and being comfortable that we will be able to maintain our current standard of living and put any bonus aside for a rainy day pension or a GT3 !!!

In terms of accommodation does anyone know how much is would be to rent a 2 bed apartment within the festival city complex at either the Hillside village or Marsa Plaza ? as I will be based in this area. Unfortunately I cant find anything on the web in that location.

Many Thanks

Cant help on the price but try looking on the better homes website : www.bhomes.com

Certainly not the cheapest but one of the more professional outfits from my experience

Around that area, and bearing in mind that a 2 bed apartment elsewhere could set you back anything from AED140-180K, you might be looking at a bit more.

Uptown Mirdif is very close to Festival City and might be slightly cheaper.

Hi thanks for the link, they only seem to have apartments in that area in a district called Warqaa ?

Does anyone know much about this area as it looks a bit on the edge of the built up areas.

Ideally we would go for festival city as we spent a fair amount of time in that area and thought it would be a great place to live.

Try calling House Hunters... http://www.househuntersdubai.com/

You have to call the agents because their websites are out of date - all the time. If you see something you like/something in budget on their website/news add then call them up you will find that property has 'gone already' and they will tell you what similar stuff they have at 'todays' price.

You can also get the names/contacts of estate agents from Gulf News..... http://www.gnads4u.com/properties

And I kid-you not, that is a legitimate url for their classifieds!!!!!
