Off roading in the UAE

For those that have the UAE off road guide, any recommended routes to check out? I am not really into desert drving, had a pretty tough time with mates digging the Explorer out a couple of months ago. Really wanted to do Wadi Bih but after the long drive to RAK, the border police man politely said that it was closed due to some intergovt dispute between UAE and Oman (I understand that you can do it from the Dibba end though).

Hatta was nice but spoilt by the grafitti. Wadi Sanya was lovely though.
