Autotrader for Dubai/UAE

I have a mate who is moving to Dubai in a month of so for work (long term). He's looking to get a car pretty much as soon as he arrives, but haven't been able to find any decent online classifieds to get an idea of prices. Have found a few sites, but have all been very small and generally don't list prices. Had a forum search, but couldn't find anything. Would appreciated any suggestions. Cheers!

When he gets here, tell him to get a copy of Wheels magazine. It has a complete list of all new cars available with prices. This is a good starting point as it gives you a bench mark.

You can get something quite tasty for the price of a boring family car in the UK....

He's got an 04 330CI convertible at the moment - so not too much of a boring family car I think he's looking at either a CLS 350 (likes the look of them) or a early current shape Range Rover. (yeah, I don't understand it either, but somehow it does sort of make sense there. In white of course )

Loads of them about and will be around 30% cheaper than the UK.

He will not be able to get a car until he has got himself a Work Visa and therefore a UAE Drivers License. If his company are quick and get him sorted then he will be OK.

He can hire a car on his UK DL until his Visa is issued.

I would strongly recommend a white S55 Mercedes or a 7 series - they look stunning in white over there.

Alternatively, a white SL55

Not sure about the Range Rover though - does he need to carry a lot? Seen a white one there last time and the valet was loading bag upon bag from the megamall into it so ideal if he wants to do that.

What sort of money are we looking at for a white SL55 ? Other half has a bit of a thing for them at the moment, so if and when we arrive I may well be on the lookout for one.
