What sort of business? There's plenty of opportunity, but bureaucracy can be 'interesting'

Where are you living at the mo?

Remember that if you got here in a month or so, you'd be just in time for the lovely summer weather.

If I was you - I'd do as much research as possible and look to move over around Sept/Oct and at least get in 6 months of wonderful temps before having to go through a summer - it is brutal!

No it's not. Every single place you ever go will be at a perfectly even and comfortable 23C. We just never step outside...

I get cabin fever during the summer - at least I'm away or part of Aug & Sept this year.

I bet everyone remembers that first step off the plane into a 40C/90% midnight!

Here for the duration - might take a week in the UK in July, but that's it.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the replies

By the time i sort everything out, im looking at sept/oct anyway. Regarding the heat, im used to it as i visit my grandparents in the summer in pakistan atleast once a year for the past 10-13 years, which is very similair temp to dubai.

Im actually in dubai between 23rd - 30th this month for 4-5 days. Planning to try and see a few estate agents and check some properties out. Was thinking of renting before buying as living there for few months will probably give me a better idea of things.

Any other tips or advice very welcome

I'd look at arriving beginning of October - Ramadan takes up the whole of September and it can be difficult to get the basics done as many of the municipal offices shut early and the bods serving you are even more useless than normal.
