Once you start thinking about this, it makes a surprising amount of sense. Anyone else similarly inclined?

Health insurance and high cost of living and a lack of community are huge negatives..

But if you can afford these and are not close to family then maybe.

The biggest benefit is ease of hiring help. Having a live in carer is possible

Health insurance you’d likely have anyway, even in the UK.

Lack of community? Surprising to hear that from a PHer. Check the other threads on this forum. And note that the UAE is opening up to expats who want to put down roots.

Family - they’d fly to see anyone for a free holiday in Dubai.

Agree on home help.
