I have a black car, which is a nightmare here.

It has a growing collection of swirls, scratches etc from the weekly Eppco wash.

Cobone, Groupon etc always ahave a selection of offers from 'Horse Power Garage' in Umm Ramool and other such exotic locations.

I can't be arsed to wash it properly myself, plus security in AR get shirty about water everywhere.

Are these ceramic coatings any good?

Any personal recommendations for somewhere to get it done?

Is there no point in doing it if I then continue to get it washed at Eppco stations?

Ceramic coatings will offer an additional layer of protection on the car, however they will also start to get swirl marks in them just like the original clear coat on the paint.

Naturally its better to get the swirls in the ceramic coating rather than the paint work itself, however it will pretty much end up looking similar.

The washing part is much easier with the ceramic on and they do repel a bit more dust so the build up of swirls will be slightly slower.

If your car is already heavily swirled then you would need that correcting before getting the ceramic done.

Loads of new garage names keep popping up who offer such services but difficult to say a certain one does it great for a good price!
