Got fully comp on the wifes Outlander (12 years old) this year with AXA. They gave the car a visual inspection and then said ok, we will offer fully comp.

Sorry forgot to post on this topic.

Was working with Chloe to get fully comp on my 1967 Fastback too.
It was finalised a few weeks ago and i'm now fully covered.

So at last, there is a solution for those of us here with a classic we want to insure fully comp!

Highly recommended dropping Chloe a line if you need cover.

Great news! Is that on an agreed value/limited miles as well?

Sorry late reply!

Yes it is limited (to 10,000km) but that was on my request as it's a weekend/winter driver, so I'll never cover that.

You can prob get unlimited mileage cover too?

Limited is fine, my being in country to drive rarely coincides with any of my cars being fit to be driven.

Key concern was agreed value? Most insurance companies employ a linear age based depreciation factor which tends to zero.

I stated the current value and sent required photos - value was agreed.

I guess you never know till you have to make a claim, but these guys understand they are covering classic cars - and don't class them as depreciating vehicles unlike other companies out here.

So far, so good, for me anyway!

I covered my car for aed 100k but I could have covered it for more. You have to provide a valuation or proof that the amount you’ve covere it for is realistic - I just used some car adverts for similar mileage and age cars. I also agreed 10k kms cover but could have asked for more.

Oh yea, forgot about that, also had a valuation done on mine, simple enough to get done though
