Hi All,
I'm looking into the various UK TV abroad type services I've seen advertised on the internet and Facebook. Does anyone have any recent experience with any of these? The one I'm looking at is about €145 for the box and €35 per month. It claims to offer most of the UK satellite and Irish channels, including BT Sport and Sky channels. I recall some of you using a more expensive service a while back and had problems with internet speed that disrupted the service.

Thanks,
Matt

For that outlay look at sling box, although only a goer if you have someone in the uk whose system you could piggyback onto in return for going halves on sky.
Pretty sure you can get everything you mention for a decent price with no monthlies if you dont ask too many questions. Mate of mine used to sell them before going back home.
Perfectly happy with just Netflix here although we're nearing the Winter Olympics which is something of a guilty pleasure for me so I'll need a decent vpn and full bbc coverage!

I'm still using the UKTVabroad service. Recently got a new package which is faultless aswell. Send me a pm if interested and ill give you more info
I hooked most of my company and a few on here up with that system whilst I was living in DXB, I continued to use it for a year or so after moving home before going down the Kodi route as that's even cheaper (though much less convenient)Assuming it hasn't changed then UKTV was a very good system as long as you have a good Internet connection, the 8Mb Du service isn't really up to the task.
