Sparks plugs and ignition coils -anyone ever changed them?
Discussion
Thanks for the replies!
While I am busy, with the family away, doing odd things around the house (yay for tutorial videos on YouTube), I think this may be beyond me given that:
a) I don't possess said tools (I looked on YouTube and they appear to use a long socket thingy to get the sparkplugs); and
b) I am guaranteed to *&^ it up
Is there any handy spanner people here around the area (I am in The Villa now) who have the kit and be willing to give me a hand on doing this? I can order all seven coils and spark plugs for less than I was charged for one by Cadillac but, since I am selling the car, I need to keep the costs down rather than spend thousands at the dealers.
Beer tokens, a full English and the usual forum offerings if anyone can help!
Cheers

Rich lives in the villa and his youngest daughter's probably picked up enough by now to be able to be able to do plugs and coil packs!
It's an easy job. If you don't mind a short drive to DIP you can use my tools and nose the car into the workshop.
Just check the socket size on the plugs. Not sure whether the yanks do anything different. I have a standard sized spark plug socket.

Thanks so much! I am sure that many on here are going "WTF? Spark plugs? Is he serious? I have changed diffs using a bent ruler, a rock an some matchsticks" but the last ones I changed were about 20 years ago on what was then a 1978 Chrysler Sigma which you could run around in the engine bay! OMG....I feel old! It's an easy job. If you don't mind a short drive to DIP you can use my tools and nose the car into the workshop.

:-)
I think they should be standard size spark plugs (they are AC Delco ones) so I will order the parts and let you know when they arrive. so we can sort out a day. Reform Bar & Grill is not that far away so we can either fuel up in advance or afterwards in celebration!
At the very least, it's a good chance to say meet in person!
Cheers
