Gulf 12 Hours - Abu Dhabi 15-16-17 Dec.
Discussion
Wondering if I should skip over from Qatar to see this, the webste does not give much insight and guessing it does not draw massive crowds from the pics of empty stands. Anyone been? anyone in a team? any ideas?

Dubai 24hrs is much more open and worth attending IMHO - takes place the weekend ahead of the Gulf 12hrs and is the best even held at the Autodrome. Pits are open, teams are welcoming, the field is packed with 80+ cars with everything from Clios to AMG GTs and much else besides.
Abu Dhabi will be a much more closed off affair, and in the past they've run it as 2 x 6hr races, rather than a true 12hr endurance slog.

I have been to the gulf 12 hours for the past couple of years.....as stated its *very* quiet. Hardly any genuine spectators, everyone is connected to the cars. That said, the pits are very friendly, and open.....much liek the DxB 24, you can wonder around, if you keep out of the way.
They also get an odd pull of cars, the Bentley debuted there, as did the renault. The grids have been variable in size. I agree a that Dxb 24 is lots better, simply in terms of size, atmosphere, loads of spectators and lots to see.
