I'm thinking of taking the family for a little road trip this Friday. Maybe visiting a Wadi, having a picnic, before heading back to Dubai late afternoon. We will make the trip in our SUV, just one car, not in convoy. So somewhere not too challenging to reach.

Someone recommended Hatta Springs. Has anyone been?

Open to other suggestions as well.

Thank you!

Last I saw Hatta Pools had been closed to ex-pats and was now local only (trip advisor seems to say the same thing)
I went there a few years ago and wasn't particularly impressed to be honest, so much rubbish, and though we did swim in the pools I ended up a little disappointed overall.

Thanks for the feedback Del. Will scratch that off the list.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again.

Two suggestions spring to mind immediately.... Mubazzarah hot springs in Al Aim - lovely swimming baths and grounds for walking / picnicking (at the bottom of Jebel Hafeet)

Wadi Bih - RAK/Oman direction, a little bit of off tarmac excursion but no real issues.

Both will be popular, Mubazzarah especially can get really busy but my family loved both places.

I agree with Del.
The hot springs are fantastic.
