Some of us from the car racing team have entered the UAE Tough Mudder event that is being held on 9th & 10th December. We have / are entering the 8km race on the 9th. Well it seemed like a good idea at the time but we will need to put in some gym time (male masochistic motivation).

Further details can be found on:

There are a few more PH'ers doing this too.

I know ChrisQuy and Rich_AR are doing, and possibly Stuckmojo as well - they are doing the 16km. I have also pig headedly agreed to do the 8km. The truck will be parked up full of beer so I can drink whilst watching them do another 8km!

Ours is 10:20am on Friday.

Any ideas if there is a kit/pack collection beforehand? Information seems thin on the ground.

Adopting Dubai style, rock-up, join queue, mass confusion, do own thing.....

My guess is that you present the print out of your registration (I received the e-mail this morning), show emirates id and they will will give you your race number etc.

Start times I see more as a "indication" as I can see loads of people wanting to start at different times with other friends.

Oh and where do you leave your car key? Not to keen on carrying it around the course.......

In short, chaos will ensue.
