Region coding for DVD players?

We have a number of DVD players from our time in Oz. We would like to update them to them UAE region codes rather than buy new ones.

Anyone know where to get this done? Thanks in advance.

Depending on the make and model of DVD player you might be able to do it yourself. We had a Sony DVD player where I had to press 0-1-2-3-4 on the remote control with the disc tray open and it became multi region.

More expensive players, e.g. Oppo, need a hardware modification I think.

If you get the model code off the back of the unit and put it into google with how to change region codes as above you may find you can DIY it.

From distant memory Pioneer, Marantz, Denon, Panasonic require software downloads, but that is from a good few years back.
