Any recommendations for someone over here, (or even in London) that will sort a will thats legally binding over here? Needs to cover property owned here, cash/investments, the usual stuff.. Thanks..

Sorry, not got a direct response to your topic but this has come up recently in my place of work so I shall be interested to hear back on experiences and advice too. However, the HR Team in my company have been very non committal on this. Advice is to keep as much of your estate out of the UAE as possible and limit financial exposure in country. Your bank accounts etc. shall likely be frozen and will immediately have any cash stripped out to pay off loans or credit cards etc.

As per usual there doesn't appear to be a hard an fast rule about wills but the advice given was that anything pulled together in the UK likely won't apply out here.

Thanks, thats the general guidance I've had too.. Tricky when the property concerned is here though..

Generally found most people to be pretty non-committal about this and as I'd like to make sure its actually going to stand up legally, I've avoided advice offered by the shiny-suited, spikey-haired gormless tw@s that hang around the Marina Yacht club on ladies nights..

Both.. UK I think is fine, but I don't want any assets over here getting tied up in legal issues..
