45 mins connection time - Bahrain

we are planning to travel from London to Riyadh via Bahrain on Gulf Air, we have been given 45 minutes time to change a plane in Bahrain.

I was wondering if 45mins is a enough time to catch a next flight? What if the first flight is delayed and arrives late and we miss our next flight?

It has been a long time since I flew through Bahrain but I never give myself less than 90 minutes to transfer time in the GCC, especially if I have checked in baggage.

connection flight is with same air company so i believe i don't need to worry about checking in my luggage.
