need a good but cheap hotel

guys,

just wondered if any of you work in the hotel sector or have a wife / good mate / etc. who does and would be willing to allow a skinflint yorkshireman a huge favour.

looking to fly my folks out for a week early january. flights are actually decent [£350 return from MAN on EK as opposed to over £2k if you were to do the trip in reverse on the same dates!] but hotels are far from it as you'd expect. not looking for a freebie [although it would be accepted, hehe] just a superduperuberdiscount rate

both of them have had a rough year health wise so i'm hoping to start their next one with some 5star r&R. i'll be footing the restaurant bill for the week and i'll need a hire car so hoping to come out of this without disturbing too many moths in my wallet so any help/tips would be appreciated and favours returned. cheeky chancer i know but hopefully worth a shot.

there's no room at ours plus i want their impression of dubai hospitality to be a touch more opulent than the yorkshire/norn oirish version of men behaving badly

i will be using both their luggage allowances to ferry parts out though
