Ford Raptor Specialist UAE
Discussion
Hi Folks
I guess I should say a big hello to the UAE Massiv', first. I've been in Abu Dhabi six months now and I haven't popped on this here part of the forum to say hello. Sorry about that. So, HELLO!!!!
Anyway, I'm in a bit of a bind: Naturally, the first thing I did when I landed in AUH was to immediately buy the first Raptor I saw... It's a 2012 US import with some Hennessey upgrades. Now at 76k KMs.
After a few months in my gentle custody, I managed to break the power steering pump, and being a noob, I popped along to my friendly Ford dealer for the repair. Now, notwithstanding their default position on any imported car appears to be, "computer says no", obviously the car is now in a worse state than it was before the P/S failed... Having got it back last week, something is rubbing on full lock and, rather inexplicably, my sump gasket is pishing oil out, for which Premier Motors (Oops - did I just say their name?) are not accepting any responsibility. So I need a Plan B.
Does anyone have experience of a specialist they can trust what fixes Raptors good? An Abu Dhabi-based chap would be ideal, but Dubai is not out the question for someone exceptional.
Cheers

Firstly, welcome.
Although not Abu Dhabi based, I'd recommend getting in touch with Mark at Saliku in Dubai. They're based in DIP, so close enough to Abu Dhabi once you work out how to navigate the place!
Mark is an off-road driver/navigator (navigated in the Dakar last year!) and stalwart of the 4x4/off-road community here. A proper engineer, which I have found a struggle to find here.
