Has anyone actually been busted for darker than allowed tints? I see so many cars with very dark tints, and I ewant to go a little darker than 30%, but won't if it's a problem for the police/RTA.
Ive got several customers with 50% ish who aren't GCC nationals and they have never been done for driving with them. However if keeping a new car 3 years not sure what the situation is with passing, or if you have an accident and the police are attentive the tints might (probably unlikely) be an issue.

If the car is owned and registered to a company, you cannot tint the windows. If you do, it will fail at the annual inspection (as I found out last year).
True but the rule only applies to the front doors/windscreen, back of the car can be tinted. Saves arguments over traffic fines with company cars.We have 40% tints on the jeep, both the wife and i have been spoken to by the police and the tints haven't been mentioned.
The jump from 30 to 40% certainly makes the car darker inside, any more than that and you might be asking for trouble, when we looked at 50% film in the showroom, it was pimp dark.
