Denali....6-speed box vs 8-speed

Does anyone have any experience of the difference (apart from 2 gears)?

Been offered a cracking deal on a Denali, which is top-of-the-range, but has the older 6-speed box.

Apart from tiny fuel savings, does anyone know of any other major differences?

I changed SRT's from the older box to the new 8 speed. Its much smoother, thats definitely the biggest change. Performance,fuel economy etc not really noticed any difference.

The 8 speed box still has a manufacture issue, a klunk dropping from 5th to 4th. According to Jeep "its normal"
