Issue with Gargash and poor quality fuel?

Has anyone got experience of the likes of gargash blaming fuel system/injector issues on poor quality fuel?

Other halfs SLK has just had a 60k type B service which included fuel additives/injector cleaners, got the car back, travelled for 3 weeks the day after then got back to Dubai and had running issues with it. Service advisor admitted shouldn't have parked the car immediately after the service (naturally failed to mention this when collecting the car) and now it needs a full set of injectors and a fuel system flush.

Of course this is down to gradual use of poor quality fuel. Just wondering if anyone else has been spun the same line?

Yes - a Porsche owner had issues. It was a long time ago now but it wrecked his engine IIRC.

I remember a while back, guys from the Owners Club UAE sent fuel samples from all of the suppliers here to a lab in Germany to have them independently tested.

All of them were crap quality except for one, Emarat. Eppco & Enoc were rubbish apparently.

Since I heard about that, I've only filled with Emarat unless I'm stuck.

So you had a car serviced including the fuel system, now the item they serviced is not working and they blame the fuel you have been using.

Cleaner is just a detergent to dislodge build up on the injectors, how did they manage to add so much that damaged the fuel system.

Also if you are not meant to use the car after the cleaner is added and they did not tell are they picking up the tab.

Yeah my attitude exactly, but the argument in the meantime is beyond frustrating.

Issue now resolved, a polite but strongly worded letter and they are fixing the issue.

Did some further reading into the fuel issue, another independent test showed that Adnoc has similar quality fuel to Emarat, the worst offenders again Epco and Enoc.
