Had my Cayman S up on Dubizzle for a few weeks now, limited interest - but what I've noticed is that mine is the only manual.
They simply don't do manual here.
I suppose with the advent of decent DSG boxes, there's no need, but the old Tip was a dog if you had half an interest as a driver.

dubizzle manual porsche search is something i do.....often!
there are normally 2-3 on there but still not exactly numerous. manuals just aren't favoured at all and this leads most of the expats to follow suit.
car's well priced but think your ad. isn't doing it any favours. doesn't come across as the enthusiast owner that you are.

Bargain considering how good that car is - but the market is st here.
In terms of selling? I have been looking and seems to be full of dreamers for the most part selling utter bilge for silly asking prices (this is not a comment on your car but more what I have been in the type of car I look at - big barges).Edited by Asterix on Friday 3rd July 13:02

Guy who bought the car is from Abu Dhabi - anyone know if we still get the sale sorted/registered here in Dubai?
If he lives in Dubai you can, but he will need to provide original tenancy and original dewa bills. If he doesn't live in Dubai and all his stuff is AD i.e license and visa then you will have to do export passing and get it transported up the road to AD for him to do passing and registration.

So a major faff if he's Abu Dhabi based basically.
Get the money, do export passing in Dubai and get the thing up the road to AD and let him sort it out. Is an RTA on the road into AD at Shahama which has a passing/registration office etc.Should get the cash on Saturday - going to ask him to meet me at the bank so that can go in and be checked before we do anything else.

Yeah get the money, then sort it out! Worst case do the de-reg at al Barsha RTA as they have the free parking for un-registered cars and get it recovered to shahama, probably cost 300-400dhs ish I would guess for a flat bed to take it.Should get the cash on Saturday - going to ask him to meet me at the bank so that can go in and be checked before we do anything else.
Well, she's gone
Sad. Best car I've owned so far and it's been a good ride since November 2007.
So - the buyer transferred the funds this morning and arranged an agent to meet me at the Al Barsha Tasjeel. I paid AED 185, test was done, transfer was done and the car is now in the other blokes name. Salik cancelled too. Took about 20 minutes while I sat in the comfy seats of the VIP area. I took lots of photos so there's a record of the condition I handed the car over in.
Tbh, painless for me (other than saying goodbye to the car).
The agent will flatbed the car down to AD and do the relevant stuff there and the buyer should be scooting around in it this evening - if he remembers how to drive manual, the test drive was rather interesting...
I thought the agent was a bargain - AED250. I have his card if anyone would like his details.
