Dash cam

Hey all,

Does anyone here know where to buy a dash cam in the UAE? Or can anyone recommend a particular model?

I understand the importance of not publishing the videos etc due to the strict privacy laws here, it's simply for my protection in the event of an accident where the blame is disputed and would only be viewed by the police.

Had a look and they all look a bit cheap and plasticy.

Am going back to the UK over summer so will probably buy from there as I have more faith from things bought there!

Does anyone have any recommended models that I should consider?

Something that doesn't need batteries as they wont cope through summer stuck on your dash.

I have a Drift Ghost HD action cam mounted in my windscreen.

It has a 'tag' facility which means it records over itself in a loop until you press the menu button upon which it saves the last 5 mins and records the next 10mins (these time periods can be changed)

The mount in the windscreen has already survived two summers so it's fine and I have it plugged into the cigarette lighter.

It also comes with other mounts so I regularly use it on my helmet for track days on my bike.

It's a good bit of kit.
