Hi,

I need work from a Lawyer in the UK but first need to provide sufficient evidence of who i am and it has to be confirmed by a law firm in Dubai, or travel back to the UK with my passport...

This is what they said

"Firstly, Money Laundering requirements will need to be addressed as there are very strict Law Society Rules concerning this and we cannot undertake work on your behalf without suitable ID being provided. As you are meantime unable to come into the office in person to provide the necessary ID (usually a current Passport or Driving Licence with photocard attached and also something official confirming your name and address i.e. a Bank Statement or recent utility bill), certified copies will require to be produced by you. I recommend you speak to either a suitably qualified lawyer in your area or perhaps someone from the British Consul/Embassy who may be able to verify your ID for you."

Can anyone give me advice on a local law firm that could help me without charging an arm or a leg?

Thanks in advance

Craig

A notary should be able to certify a copy of your passport and other documents. Let me ask in the office tomorrow.

I had to do similar to dissolve my company in the UK. I used these people:-

Al Rowaad Advocates

Was handy as they are only a floor above one of my Dubai Offices. Cannot remember how much - but 200dhs rings a bell.

Lots of others to choose from on here if they are closer:-
