I'm suitably happy with my new purchase. I won't ramble on, as most details are in this thread but here are some quick snaps.

Running in period is 1000km, so I am hammering that out asap!

Can anyone suggest a good place to get it cleaned on a regular basis? I won't be doing the mall washing, and even reluctant to take it to the petrol station places, unless I ask them to use my own cloths etc.

Also, can anyone recommend a good place to take it for paint protection? The dealer offered this, but I thought it was a tad steep to be honest.

To the pics -

Congrats.

I think the petrol station on umm suqiem road near lulu is better than your average place.

Nice choice they make a lovely noise! Don't see too many in the blue.

Paint protection comes in many forms, just depends how much you want to spend on it! The dealer stuff is well not great, doesn't last too long either. Reality is regardless of whats done to it a top up twice a year will be needed.

Thanks guys.

I'll check out that garage. It already needs a good clean after being stuck in a shower yesterday.

I'll do a bit of research on the paint protection. I did wonder how good the stuff dealerships use.

Don't get sucked into these expensive ceramic coatings which promise to last 3 years, non of them do, same as the dealer based products all claim to last years but in reality nothing does.

A decent sealant and wax is all you need but it will need re applying a couple of times a year, ideally before and just after summer in this climate.

Cheers for that, appreciate the advice.

The M3 sadly went but I wish I still had it :-(

Always get curious when they don't name the actual product they use, other than its German no idea who makes it!

Gents, if you want you're car waxed, polished..etc, ask James to do it......never seen a car pampered as much, and the results are 1st class.

Cheers Chilli!

Im happy to take a look Matt and make some suggestions. Can do anything from a basic sealant/wax to full paint correction and glazes, only thing is being very honest nothing that's put on will last more than about 6 months regardless of how fancy the tech sounds, polymer/ceramic/nano it all starts to break down after 90days (bottom of the doors are the start of it failing and give it away) on average so don't spend a fortune on something that just vanishes!

However once its done properly once and if washed correctly with time re-applying the products later is much easier and much more simple.

More than happy to advise only as the general standard of car care out here is pretty dire (the places that do it properly here certainly know how to charge for it!)

No issues look forward to hearing from you.
