Before I contact Parc Ferme directly (as per Revo website), has anyone here had a REVO remap done for their VW/Audi etc?

I'm interested to know the real world benefits, costs and impact to warranty (ie, can it returned to stock at the flip of a switch?).

I know modern Audis (or at least my A5) dump all the data to Audi HQ as it is plugged in and in that data is the number of times the ECU has been reset. Audi automatically respond to any warrenty claim for the car by telling the dealer "computer says no".

...so I'd be careful if you have warrenty.

I'd considered a REVO but have just booked it in with Tibor at Autohaus. It's more expensive (almost double) for my GTi but I've been to Tibor since buying the car almost 2 years ago and trust him. It's 2010 so out of warranty, and has covered 100,000km. Their cost includes a BMC panel filter also.

Overall, not sure of the benefits or downsides of either but I know with Tibor the aftersales care and support will be there.

I've had my cars at Parc Ferme many times now, never had any problems with the guys or their work.
I had Revo put on my Golf GTi and the difference was very noticeable, i had it in to the dealers and they re-flashed the ecu to standard whilst doing an update, when i picked it up i knew the map had been removed, thats how noticeable it is!

Never been questioned when in for service work, as for mpg etc, who checks that out here

Check out the VW / Audi UAE forum on Facebook. Apparently a custom remap is the way to go.

I went the Revo route a few years back with Parc Ferme. Satisfied overall.

The car is only a few months old and I have plenty of valuable warranty left - I'm not sure another 50+bhp is worth risking that (and resale value)!

Custom maps typically only come into the game when you have non standard modifications and or you want to push the car further than the generic maps offer.

Overall for safety unless you have made some additional modifications to the car its best to stick with the generic ones that the main companies offer, at least they are tried and tested by the majority.

Just takes a few digits in the codes to be wrong on the custom maps to totally screw and engine up over time.

Mine's been back from Tibor/Autohaus for a few days and all I can say is WOW! I think I'm going to be spending a bit more on front tyres, but response, power delivery, everything is much better than standard.

Now asking why I didn't do it sooner...
