Dubai Holiday Apartment
Discussion
I'm coming over for around 10 days in December so would ideally like to rent an apartment as it gets boring eating out constantly.
Can anybody point me in the direction of a reasonably priced (cheap) apartment to rent? There's a few on owners direct but I'm not sure how trustworthy they are.
Location ideally JBR / Marina but anywhere within a short cab ride would be ok. Preferably not JLT but anywhere in and around Jumeirah would be great as an alternative.
Also, does anybody know when the Sevens are? I think possibly first weekend in December?

Sevens are normally the first weekend in December...
Be very careful booking a short term B+B, the government here have recetly clamped down in a big way on owners short term renting without permits and the fines are huge so many owners have stopped doing it.
An alternative would be a hotel apartment, there are dozens of those here (I stayed for 4 months in Oasis Beach Towers on JBR) they give you the benefits of a hotel (cleaner etc) with the benefits of an apartment (full kitchen, washing machine etc etc
That would be my recommendation to you, go for something like that.

unless you eat cheap ste, eating out is just as cheap as cooking imo.
It's not really about the money tbh. It's the rigmarole of eating out that gets me after a few days. The mrs takes forever getting ready and it can become a chore. Breakfast for instance - I'd rather just make my coffee and toast or whatever and go out when I'm ready. Especially when I'm looking at 10 days away. I was in the Address Serviced Apartments at The Marina for 6 weeks when I arrived. Not sure on your budget but it worked out at aprox £100 per night when I was there (August through October). A good spot to be - easy to get in and out (as is the non-JBR side of Marina), great swimming pool, and a quick stop downstairs to Waitrose to stock up on breakfast stuff.
Their advertised price was higher than what I paid, but I played them off of a couple of other serviced apartments prices, and as it was for 6 weeks they price matched.

I know it very well (I mean I know the pool bar very well). Someone on airbnb has a studio available for £100 a night and it's bang on my budget. Perfect. My mate live in MAG218 so it's close enough. Cheers I'll have a chat with them.
