1 night in Dubai

On a flying visit down from Kuwait Tuesday.

I've been booked into the Samaya Hotel, which typically for my lot is dry. Where's the best place locally, like walking distance, to get a cold beer?

The Park Hyatt is a short cab journey away. The Terrace Bar there is a great spot on the water overlooking the yacht club and creek.

radisson blu creekside is less than 5min walk.

bit less highbrow but if you look on google maps theres a road running north of fish roundabout [next to the maktoum hospital. just before the next intesection on the left hand side is a cheap looking hotel. there's an awesome bar on the first floor complete with saloon doors. they do a decent pint of bitter and the place is full of emiratis playing pool and darts, chucking money in the jukebox, drinking and smoking cigs. its highly amusing.
