Dubai 24hr Race - Autodrome this weekend

It's the 24hr race at the Autodrome this weekend, starting 2pm Friday and running to 2pm Saturday.
Anyone else planning on making the trip... I can't be there for the full 24hrs but am aiming to make the start, a session in the middle of the night and then the final 3hrs or so.

Got some good photos last year, hoping for more of the same this year.

OOOH OOH OOH ME! I'm flying over from Qatar to support 2 of my friends who are driving cars 92 and 159. I'll be there from the start in pit 4C or 4B to after sunset and then back again the next morning. It would be great to meet some of the Dubai PH crew if you lot are around!

At this rate we will all wander over at different times and none of us will see anyone else..

The weather is due to be a bit blowy tomorrow so I'm likely to not be sailing and so will wander over myself. If anyone is over there for a couple of hours or so and then fancies a pint or two in the early evening thats as close to a plan as I am likely to commit to just now..

I will skip happily along the pit lane waving with colourful ribbons and bows. Wave back if you are a PH'er :-)

We are in Garage 5C (black Honda). A trying event so far (busted windscreen Tuesday night = no running Wednesday, broke engine yesterday = no night practice), but we will be on the grid.

Just back home after watching the finish... Didn't check this thread after finishing work on Thursday so apologies for not catching up with anyone.

I ended up being there from 4am to 8am and 11.30 until 14.30
Good atmosphere at night but I wish they'd sort out the awful PA system in the grandstand!!

Took a few hundred pics, will pop a few up here tomorrow.

Now time for a shower before heading off to mamma mia!

Got there at 2am and left around 4am. Wandered around the pits but decided that since I did not actually know what people looked like, or in most cases their real names, it would be odd to stop and say "Are you [forum name]?"

Some great viewing spots and took a lot of photos which I need to sort.

Got to love some of the pit set ups! Some like little chalets and with washing machines and dryers
