Furniture shops - bedroom furniture
Discussion
I am going to go crazy if I do not find bedroomm furniture soon, having spent all day today, and yesterday in Dubai Mall, MOE and SZR furniture shops. Basically looking at the same crap after same crap.
This is what I have realized so far:-
1) All mattresses sold with beds are useless, so need to buy separately. Fortunately most mattress shops on SZR seem ok, so should not be an issue buying from here (although if anyone has any recommendations on a particular shop, am ready to listen).
2) The One Fusion, Marina etc are all too poncey, and only sell random furniture rather than bedroom sets which we are looking for.
3) HomeCenter, Homes R Us, Pan Emirates are all very cheap MDF and veneer furniture, which won't last 5 minutes.
4) United furniture and Crate and Barrell is a bit better than above, but still not really all that good quality compared to what I would expect. Was very close to buying something in United - but it seemed cheap, and when I looked closer I could see the veneer peeling away from the wood in showroom already!
5) Western Furniture is better quality - but is very expensive for what you are getting. 40K+ dhs - and to be honest it does not look worth that sort of money.
I have been told to take a look at Lucky's in Sharjah - but from what I can see they do not really do bedroom furniture. Although the concept of making their own furniture from real wood appeals to me. I would rather buy real wood furniture that does not look awful when scraped, scratched or knocked, than MDF/Veneer that is awful when it starts to come apart. I have a fair budget - but would rather be around the 15k dhs (not including mattress), than the 40k dhs seen in Western.
Any ideas? Am I expecting too much over here?

Guessing Ikea is not an option?..........
Not for this room.........Don't get me wrong we have a house full of Ikea, Dubizzle, and Dragon Marts finest. However this is for our bedroom, and we have been promising ourselves a nice bedroom suite for a long time now - hence looking for something above the norm. Going to look at this place today (if not shut due to national holiday):-

And also see what else we can find in Jumeirah - and possibly Deira if I am feeling brave!

Have you tried Marina near Al Barsha Fats?
No not tried there - have tried Marina in the malls. Is this one bigger?Did look at Maison place earlier, and was very close to buying something, but they were missing one piece that we wanted, and it will take 4 months to get in stock. Going to look at some factorys in Al Quoz (after golf!) tomorrow, and then maybe heading up to Sharjah during the week to look at some other places.
