Hi Folks,

My family coming over and 2 of them are booked into do a SkyDive, has anyone had experience finding a surrounding high rise building I can take the rest of us (including 2 kids) to watch them take off, come down and land?

Thanks for help

Any reason you don't want to watch it from Skydive Dubai itself?

The planes take off with such regularity, unless you are there you will have no idea which one they are in.

We watched a friend jump and went to the skydive base to watch.

If not you will struggle to know which jumper is who. At the base you get to seem them land and there is a cafe !

p.s. On a side note the sky diving championship every year is a good watch!

my balcony overlooks the landing pad, i have very reasonable rates.

i'd just stay at ground level, you lose the plane in the haze above a certain level and can't really make out the skiydivers until they are close to landing.

Best view is from the plane - you'll see Dubai in a new way from 15,000 feet. If not, there is a passable cafe on site and ZeroG has cold beer. Observatory in the Marriott has a reasonable view, but you won't know which group your friends are in.

Jump with them, its great fun..

Actually, are you allowed just to go up in the plane for a few quid?

Doubt it, its packed with jumpers..

Seriously, you are safer jumping out of that thing than landing in it..

Unfortunately I have a fear of heights, so going up in the plane would be a big enough challenge for me. Jumping out simply doesn't compute.

Hi Everyone,

I have done two jumps from Skydive Dubai with visitors, The first time the ladies stayed at the drop zone, the second time they went up to a bar in Habtoor grand I think it was that overlooked the dropzone, when I was called to go to the golf buggy to the plane I was able to text them so they could watch out for us and you are actually able to figure out when the plane is taking off and when the jumpers will be coming down, they got some good pictures of us.

So I was just interested if anyone has found a really good place to watch jumper from, obviously not!

Like I said I will have kids with me who are 3 and 5 so waiting around the drop zone for an hour and a half may not be the best idea trying to keep them interested haha!

Thanks anyway for help

Craig
