Any idea if parking all day there is free or not? No barriers, but I'm wondering if anyone will wander around and ticket me. I sometimes share a lift to Abu Dhabi and leave one of the cars at Ibn Battuta, but with the traffic in the evening heading in and out the marina mall is much easier..

While they installed all the equipment for barriers, Its always been free there. But perhaps that may change with the new tram..

Thanks. I quite often use this mall and never had a problem for a few hours, but don't know about all day.. I'd be surprised if they don't go the same way as other malls and start charging though. As said, they do have the facilities for barriers..

I saw a sign there today actually, which I think said "Towing after 48 hours".. it was next to the disabled spots near the cinema entrance, just be sure to check that first then you'll be good to go.

Thanks. I saw quite a few others looking like they were doing that this morning..

As above. Few guys from our office park there all day as it easier to get of SZR rather than through Marina for them in the morning. Alternatively, Marina Plaza (office block just down from Marina Mall) is connected to the mall and has two - three stories parking going underground. Always fairly quiet, always free and I've left cars in there the whole weekend before with no issues.

Thanks all. Left the car yesterday and all was fine. I fear that one of these days they will go the same way as some of the other malls and charge for parking..

I'd be surprised, apparently the Mall is on it's arse and anything perceived as keeping footfall away would get criticized by the tenants.

If you get an issue just drive into the residence parking at the address. I park in here every day/night and I don't have permission to (supposed to use Valet parking, but it winds me up as takes too long!).

I just give the guys on the barrier the "I'm supposed to be here wave".
