On the basis of my (very) recent experience, I'd avoid Betterhomes like Ebola

Unfortunately, they are still probably one of the better outfits.

Good luck!

Just for 10 days? Holiday or business? I'd be looking at the hotel apartments they have dotted around.

Where do you want to be? Downtown? Marina?

There are a load of these hotel apartments around, I don't know what they are like inside though - but apparently have cookers/washing machines etc.
Just an an example, there is the Dunes hotel just along from me in Al Barsha. Not really a very happening (nor picturesque!) area, but it's a good location in terms of a central position in dubai, 10 mins to marina, next door to mall of emirates. 5 mins to Souk Madinat and 15 from downtown. - as said I don't know what the quality of this one is like though!

I'll ask my dad who lives there. How much are you looking at spending? Or what type of service are you looking for?

Sam used to live at the Four Points Sheraton at the top end of SZR, and they were lovely.

If I could move in there permanently I would.

Big wrap around balconies
Fully serviced
Fully equipped
Parking

Loved it.
