Anyone have a MAC...pc thing?
Discussion
My ipod has gone into one....lost all of the music. I'm led to believe that it needs resetting and formatting. However, the colleague that added all the music to it (not from itunes) did it all in a MAC and my pc doesn't recognise the drive. So, I think I need to find a MAC pc, download everything, then save the music somewhere, reformat the ipod, then upload them again in.
Does anyone here have on on these MAC things (and is knowledgeable about such things) who would be able to help me out?
Cheers.

I have a fear of becoming the IT bh when I arrive!
However you do need a mac.....
Question: Can I use an iPod formatted for Mac on a PC, or an iPod formatted for Windows on a Mac?
Answer: It is not possible to use an iPod formatted for Mac with Windows. This is because Windows does not support the HFS Plus file system and therefore will not see the drive. When you connect an iPod formatted for Mac to your PC, iTunes will prompt you to restore the iPod.
iTunes will allow you to use an iPod formatted for Windows on a Mac; however, Apple currently only supports using the iPod shuffle in FAT32 format on Mac. For more information see the iPod shuffle Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
Or you can use this product:-
http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive
It will read a MAC OS from your PC.
However if looking to transfer music outside of Itunes you may also need a third party product (regardless of whether you use a MAC, or "MAC emulator"). Senuti is a product I have used before.
