It turns out that you should actually have a license to consume alcohol on an Emirates flight.

Surely Emirates should be fined for serving alcohol to an unlicensed customer.

Could turn into a huge can of worms....

non story. anyone without an alcohol licence is 'allowed' to drink in the uae. do something that warrants police attention and you're in trouble, doubly so if you did so when pissed.

if this was enforced it would kill the tourist trade and ps off many a business traveller. needing your passport to drink in oman is a pisstake as well.
